Terms of Service

These terms apply to the use of this website and to junk removal services provided by The Junk Lifters ("we", "us") in Ontario. By booking a job with us, you agree to them.

Quotes and pricing

• Quotes given by phone, text, email or this website are estimates based on the information and photos you give us.
• We confirm the final price on site before any work starts. You can decline at that point with no charge.
• If items are added after you approve the price, we will tell you the new price before we load them.
• All prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are added where required.

Free estimates

Estimates are free and carry no obligation. If you decline the price on site, you pay nothing.

Curbside pickup discount

You get 15% off your quoted price when all items are outside at ground level, in your driveway or at the curb, and ready to load when we arrive. The discount doesn't apply if we need to go inside to collect items, and it can't be combined with other offers.

Referral reward

When someone you refer books and completes a paid job, we send you $40 by e-Transfer. The referred customer must mention your name when they book. One reward per referred customer, and you can't refer yourself or your own household.

Booking, changes and cancellations

You can reschedule or cancel a booking at no cost by letting us know as early as you can. Our arrival windows are estimates and can be affected by traffic, weather and earlier jobs. We'll keep you updated if we're running late.

Your responsibilities

• You confirm you own the items or have the right to have them removed.
• Please tell us about anything hazardous, very heavy or hard to reach before we arrive.
• Please make sure we have safe access to the items, including parking for our vehicle.
• Once items are loaded on our truck, they cannot be returned. Please check that nothing of value is mixed in.

Items we can't legally take

For safety and legal reasons, we can't remove certain materials, such as hazardous waste, chemicals, fuels, asbestos and medical waste. If something can't go, we'll tell you and point you to the right disposal option.

Disposal

We dispose of items at licensed facilities and donate or recycle items where it makes sense to.

Payment

Payment is due when the job is finished, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We provide a receipt for every job.

Damage and insurance

We are fully insured and take care to protect your home. If you believe something was damaged during a job, please let us know within 48 hours with photos so we can make it right. We aren't responsible for pre-existing damage or for damage caused by conditions we weren't told about.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act.
